It was obvious to a boomer like me that Meta was a bet the company on the future gamble. No one has any idea what a metaverse company looks like or what customers want in a (their?) metaverse. So far it sounds like computers in the late 70s/early 80s. Mom can store her recepies! Kids can do homework and play games! Dad can... learn BASIC! Zuck clearly sees himself as Jobs betting the company on the Macintosh, being there first when the customers figure out what its for. This all asdumes there is a market for a metaverse, let alone one big enough to support it. I wonder how that Disney thing is going, remember all those commercials with Danny DeVito being schooled by a bi-racial princess on how to use a cartoon metaverse?
